Hey all. It’s April. Hope that your day is going as wonderful as you are.
Just to clarify that being Awake is different than being woke. We can be woke and broke, but if you are awake in Christ you will be rich.
God has promised us blessings beyond measure, joy overflowing, but the best thing is eternal life. The bible states the whosoever believes. You are the WHOSOEVER. That means that if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, died and rose from the grave then you shall be saved. We make things so complicated sometimes and this is so easy. Just believe, really? YES really.
God desires that no one parish, but all come to him. I can tell you from experience that this life is not for the faint of heart. This, just like life without Christ can be difficult at times, but with Christ, you know that you have the Father with you at all times. He will fight your battles FOR you.
This past year has been very trying for me. I have had 2 dear friends pass suddenly and a few more pass that have known me since I was a child. I have also had a young man that I have seen struggle with substances pass and devastate his mother and daughters. I have had a bout with skin cancer, my daughter left and has gone away from God, and I had to make a choice to have my dog put down. Why am I telling you this? Because my struggles are the same as everyone elses, but I know that I have someone that will be there to go through all of this with me. I know that I am not alone.
You may say, sure you are not alone, you have friends, family, a husband, and all that, but then can’t know how this will be in the long hall. I know that MY GOD knows all about it and is with me no matter what. Do I falter sometimes, YES. I also know that MY God will be there when everyone else is gone home, dealing with their struggles and their life. You see God is always there no matter what is going on in my life. I just must believe that.
So, no matter what it is you are facing, there is someone that knows exactly how you are feeling and will always be there for you. That is Jesus. He has sustained me through more than I can tell you. Looking back, sometimes I wonder how I made it, because by the world’s standards, I shouldn’t be where I am today.
You see, my husband embarked on a journey at the age of 74 (him) and 59 (me). We move 850 miles away from everything we knew and all our family to where we felt God was taking us. All of this during COVID. We embarked on this journey in July 2020. Here we are almost 4 years later in a beautiful home, have a wonderful church family and are serving God more than ever. I feel so close to God every day. Because I have obeyed and sought Him. Have I always obeyed, no. Have I not obeyed since then, yes. I know that in spite if my disobedience God has a plan for me being here. This is not just by chance. But we believed it.
You see God is in everything, you just have to look for him. He will guide you on your journey. You are precious and he loves you with a love that no one else can give you. Just believe.
